Home For The Holidays is the largest annual charitable endeavor for Walker Furniture, which has a long history of contributing to worthwhile community causes. Since the beginning of Home For The Holidays in 1994, hundreds of families or individuals in need in Clark County have received an entire houseful of furniture. In 2018, during Walker's 25th year of the program 35 family’s lives were changed giving them new hope for their future.
Walker Furniture is honored to partner with the Clark County Fire Department to make our hard working first responders more comfortable, through the Project Firehouse: Rested & Ready program. The Clark County Fire Department is the busiest fire department in the state and one of the busiest in the country with more than 150,000 responses a year. For firefighters, the fire station serves as their home away from home. It’s been years since local fire stations had new mattresses due to government cutbacks during the last recession. In 2018 & 2019 Walker will deliver new mattresses, foundations and mattress protectors to all 30 Clark County firehouses in the Las Vegas Valley.
At Walker Furniture, we strive to honor men and women who serve our country. The Walker Help for Heroes program helps Clark County active duty military personnel and veterans needing specialized furniture. Lift chairs, adjustable beds, mattresses, and other furniture is donated to local heroes in the hopes it will make their everyday lives a little easier.
